Process Integration Engineer at Ferric

Chao Wang's work experience starts with a role as a Process Integration Engineer at Ferric, Inc. from 2023 to the present. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from July 2021 to January 2023, where they investigated a novel process to improve the conductivity of graphene fiber and screened optimization methods. Before that, Chao was a Research Associate at The University of Texas at Dallas from July 2018 to June 2021, where they designed and constructed direct-write printing copper-nickel alloy thin film with controlled composition. Their earliest role was as a Process Engineer at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences from March 2015 to June 2018, where they optimized and redesigned porous ceramic-metal composite materials used in high-speed rail brake pads to improve wear resistance and extend their service life.

Chao Wang's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Northeastern University (CN) for a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy Engineering. Chao graduated from this program in 2007. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2009, Chao Wang pursued a Master's degree in Nonferrous Metallurgy at the same institution. Continuing their academic journey, they then undertook a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Metallurgy Engineering at Northeastern University (CN) from 2009 to 2015.
