Dorain Thompson

Dorain Thompson possesses extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Facilities at Ferring Pharmaceuticals since March 2002, Dorain’s background includes the role of Senior Research Associate, specializing in molecular biology and various advanced techniques such as cell culture, DNA/RNA/Protein extraction, and gene cloning. Prior experience includes a position as Research and Development Associate at American Shrimp Farming Company, where Dorain identified genetic markers for shrimp growth, and as a Molecular Technologist at the American Red Cross Southern California Region, applying DNA-based typing techniques. Dorain holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and has furthered education through UC San Diego Extended Studies.
