Helena Nicklasson

Vice President Product Development & Drug Delivery at Ferring Pharmaceuticals

Helena Nicklasson has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Helena started their career as a Research Scientist at Ferring AB in 2000 before joining Ferring Pharmaceuticals in 2002 as a Senior Scientist, focusing on formulation development. Helena then moved to AstraZeneca R&D in 2004, where they worked as a Team Manager in Product Development, leading a team involved in formulation development and GMP-manufacturing for clinical studies. After six years at AstraZeneca, Helena joined DermaGen AB in 2010 as a Project Director, responsible for the overall CMC strategy and budget planning. Helena later joined Pergamum AB in 2011 as the Director of R&D, where they were responsible for the overall CMC strategy, business development activities, and member of the Pergamum Quality network. In 2012, they returned to Ferring Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Pharmaceutical Development and subsequently became the Vice President of Product Development & Drug Delivery in 2020. In their current role, they are responsible for overseeing product development and drug delivery projects.

Helena Nicklasson pursued a M.Sc degree in Pharmacy from Uppsala University between 1990 and 1994. Later, they obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the same institution, completing their studies from 1994 to 2000. In 2015, they attended the Copenhagen Business School, where they completed the MMPI Diploma Program, specializing in Managing Medical Product Innovation.
