Pierre-Jérôme Blain has extensive work experience in intellectual property and patent law. Pierre-Jérôme held the position of Vice President, Global Head of Intellectual Property at Ferring Pharmaceuticals from 2014. Prior to that, they were the Chief Patent Counsel at Abbott from 2010 to 2014. Pierre-Jérôme also worked as the Director of Intellectual Property at Solvay from 2008 to 2010, and as the Director of Intellectual Property at Genfit from 2001 to 2007. Earlier in their career, they served as the Head of the Patent Department at Lesaffre from 2000 to 2001, and as a Patent Counsel at LVMH from 1996 to 2000. Pierre-Jérôme started their career as a Patent Counsel at Deltasonic from 1995 to 1996.
Pierre-Jérôme Blain holds a Master's Degree in European patent litigation from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies - CEIPI, which they completed from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they also obtained another Master's degree from CEIPI in Patent & Trademarks, which they completed from 1994 to 1995. Additionally, they have a Master's degree in engineering from AgroSup Dijon, specializing in Biology, microbiology, chemistry, and food science, which they completed from 1991 to 1994.
