Alexander Cartwright is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of economics with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Department Chair and Associate Professor at Ferris State University College of Business since August 2016, Alexander has also held positions as Managing Partner at Vilicus Capital and Principal at HotelSHIFT Capital. Additionally, involvement as a Policy Analyst at the Advance Arkansas Institute has included writing policy materials and newsletters. Alexander has been a Lecturer in Economics at Escuela Cristiana de Liderazgo and was previously an Economics PhD Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Alexander earned a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University and holds a B.S. in Mathematical Economics, summa cum laude, from Hampden-Sydney College.
