Joren Bender, PMP, LEED GA, CLCP

Joren Bender has over 10 years of work experience in project management and sustainability. Joren is currently employed as a Project Manager at FESCO Energy, starting in March 2023. Prior to this, Joren worked as a Sustainability Program Manager at the City of Rockville from November 2022 to February 2023. From April 2018 to February 2023, Joren served as a Partner and Board Member at Bender Consulting LLC, where they assisted clients in organizational improvement and leadership development. Joren also worked as a Program Manager at Vision Technologies from February 2021 to September 2022. Previously, Joren held the position of Vice President of Operations and Business Development at Elevant from December 2019 to January 2021. Joren gained experience in sales and operations at American Energy Services, where they worked as a National Sales Account Executive, Vice President of Operations, and Senior Director of Operations from 2017 to 2019. Before that, Joren worked as a District Supervisor at Vivint Solar from December 2013 to July 2017. Joren began their career as a Project Manager at Washington Office Interiors from 2010 to 2012. Joren Bender is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate (LEED GA), and Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant Practitioner (CLCP).

Joren Bender, PMP, LEED GA, CLCP has a degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition to the degree, they have obtained several certifications including LEED Green Associate from Green Business Certification, Inc. in May 2019, Controls Essentials and LED Essentials from Signify in September 2018. Joren also holds certifications in Charge Point Certification Sales and Installation, Department of Transportation Commercial License from the Maryland Department of Transportation, Philips LED Certification, and Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute.
