Drew Crawford

Drew Crawford has a diverse work experience in software engineering, holding various positions in different companies. 🚀 Drew is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Fetch since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior Director of Engineering at Fetch from November 2020 to December 2021, where they were responsible for developing technologies that allow users to save money on their purchases.

Before joining Fetch, Drew worked at Shipt from 2017 to 2020, progressively moving up the ranks. 🚀 Drew'sroles at Shipt included Director of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager, and Engineering Manager. During their time at Shipt, they oversaw multiple backend teams and played a crucial role in various projects, such as coping with increased order volume during the COVID-19 pandemic, introducing order bundling, and implementing a new service for estimating order effort. 🚀 Drew also led the development of several services and worked on the re-platforming of the Shopper App.

Prior to Shipt, Drew held positions at WideOrbit, MEDSEEK, Jack Henry & Associates, Momentum Telecom, Alabama Productivity Center, and Cerner Corporation. These roles provided him with valuable experience in software development, application design, and process improvement.

Throughout their career, Drew has gained expertise in various programming languages and technologies, including Ruby on Rails, Go, Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, SQS, and SNS. 🚀 Drew has actively participated in hiring processes and demonstrated strong teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Drew Crawford pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The University of Alabama, commencing their studies in 2003 and successfully completing them in 2007.
