Established in June 2012, The Foundation for Black Women's Wellness is a Wisconsin based non-profit organization committed to eliminating health disparities and other barriers impacting the lives of Black women and girls. 

We exist to empower Black women and girls to live healthy, well and thriving lives. 

Though African American Women make up roughly 7% of the U.S. population and 14% percent of the total population of women, we are over-represented in all major categories of disease and illness, including hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, stroke, obesity and reproductive disorders. 

We bear the greatest burden of health disparities among women nationally and locally in Dane County and the State of Wisconsin, compounded by unacceptable social and economic disparities. 

Because of this, we are committed to radically transforming Black Women's health by mobilizing women, communities, and partners to create the powerful change we need.

The Operations and Project Management Team at The Foundation for Black Women's Wellness oversees the organization's day-to-day functions, ensures efficient workflow, and handles strategic planning and implementation of key initiatives. This team manages human resources, coordinates administrative tasks, and executes special projects, such as the Saving Our Babies Initiative, to drive impactful changes in Black women's health and wellness. Through meticulous planning and coordinated efforts, they support the foundation's mission to eradicate health disparities and empower Black women and girls to lead thriving lives.

Operations and Project Management Team

The Health and Wellness Team at The Foundation for Black Women's Wellness is dedicated to implementing and coordinating programs that address health disparities affecting Black women and girls. This team provides maternal and child health outreach, facilitates wellness programs, and supports community health initiatives. Additionally, they engage in collaborative efforts with academic institutions and health alliances to promote health equity and empower Black women to live healthier lives.

Health and Wellness Team

The Leadership Team at The Foundation for Black Women's Wellness oversees the strategic direction and operational management of the organization. Comprising the Founder, CEO & President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Health Initiatives Officer, this team drives the mission to eliminate health disparities impacting Black women and girls. They mobilize communities and form partnerships to implement health initiatives, advocate for policy changes, and ensure sustainable funding and resources to empower Black women to lead healthy and thriving lives.
