Sophie Boedec is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as Médecin Fédéral National at the Fédération française de la montagne et de l'escalade since December 2022 and as Médecin du sport at the Centre Hospitalier de Saint-Nazaire since September 2020. Additionally, Sophie holds roles as Médecin GRIMP and Médecin sapeur pompier volontaire at SDIS44 since January 2009, and as praticien hospitalier médecin urgentiste at Centre hospitalier Châteaubriant Nozay Pouancé since November 2008. FFME
Founded in 1945, FFME is the governing body for climbing, ski-mountaineering, snoeshoe hiking and canyoning in France, by delegation of the French Sports Ministry. FFME is also in charge of promoting and developing alpinism and mountain touring sport activities. FFME gathers~107,000 membership holders throughout~1,050 official clubs in France. FFME is a member of CNOSF (French national Olympic and sports committee), IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing) and ISMF (International Ski Mountaineering Federation). FFME is responsible for the selection and training of the French climbing and ski-mountaineering teams, as well as the organisation of official climbing and ski-mountaineering competitions in France.
