Damon Allen's work experience begins in 1994, where they served as a Captain in the United States Air Force until 1998. From 1998 to 1999, they worked as a Financial Analyst at FedEx. In 1999, Damon joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati as a Manager of Financial Analysis, overseeing loan pricing and managing capital stock. Damon later held positions as a Credit Officer, Assistant Vice President of Credit Financial Analysis, and Assistant Vice President of Housing & Community Investment. From 2009 to 2011, Damon served as the Vice President of Housing & Community Investment, responsible for overseeing the bank's affordable housing and economic development programs. Finally, they held the role of Senior Vice President & Community Investment Officer starting in 2012, where they continue to work. Throughout their career, Damon has presented programmatic updates to the FHLB's Board of Directors and Affordable Housing Advisory Council and represented the bank at various ceremonies.

Damon Allen attended Howard University from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting. Subsequently, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on International Business and Finance at the University of Miami from 1993 to 1994. In 2019, Damon attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking for a year-long program in Banking and Financial Support Services.
