Owen Bidder

Owen Bidder is a seasoned professional in the fields of machine learning and data science with extensive experience in wearable technology and marketing analytics. Currently serving as a Founding Machine Learning Engineer at Fi since March 2024, Owen specializes in developing activity recognition algorithms for smart dog collars. Prior to this role, Owen worked as a Senior Applied Scientist at Sojern, enhancing online advertising campaigns utilizing Python and Google Cloud Platform. Experience at Aktana included creating Bayesian Marketing Mix Models and deploying NLP models, while earlier positions involved consulting and research roles at institutions like the University of California, Berkeley and Stiftung Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover. Owen holds a Ph.D. in Biological Science, an MSc in Environmental Biology, and a BSc in Zoology/Animal Biology, all from Swansea University.
