Martin Ford

Martin Ford has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Martin'smost recent role was as a Freelance End Point Assessor at Active IQ, starting in September 2019. Prior to that, they worked at FIBA as a Referee Instructor, FIBA Technical Delegate, and Commissioner since 2012. Martin also held roles at England Basketball as the EMRMC Chairman and Coach Tutor since May 2012, and at Derbyshire Basketball Association as Chairman and Coaching Officer starting in June 2004 and January 1998, respectively. Martin Ford also served as a Referee Supervisor at the BBL - British Basketball League from January 2016 to July 2021. Martin worked as a PE Teacher at Anthony Gell School from September 2006 to July 2017. Additionally, they were a Basketball Committee Member at British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) from October 2012 to May 2017. Lastly, they were a Professional/Semi-professional Basketball Player at Derby Basketball Club from September 1989 to May 2005.

Martin Ford attended Salford Technical College from 1989 to 1990, where they studied physiotherapy with a focus on anatomy and physiology. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1989, they attended North Idaho College and earned an Associate of Science degree in Science/Anatomy.
