Samir Abaakil has a diverse work experience in the field of sports and education. Samir started their career in 2014 at the Ministère de l'éducation nationale du préscolaire et des sports as the Chef de division de la promotion du sport. In this role, they were responsible for promoting sports at a national level. Simultaneously, they also served as an associate professor and head of the department of school sport promotion & TC Basketball 3x3 president in ISF under the national education ministry.

In 2018, Samir joined FIBA as a referees instructor, where they utilized their expertise in basketball to educate and train referees. Samir also became the TC Chairman 3X3 Basketball at the ISF - International School Sport Federation, further showcasing their passion for basketball and their leadership skills.

Throughout their career, Samir has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting sports and education, making him a valuable asset in the sports industry.

Samir Abaakil began their education journey in 2018 at Université M5, where they pursued a Master's degree in Gouvernance des organisations sportives et ingénierie de formation. This program lasted until 2021. Following this, in 2021, they attended Faculty Law Larache, where they obtained a Licence de droit, specializing in Law.

Throughout their education, Samir also obtained a certification in Master Gouvernance des organisations sportives et ingénierie de formation from Faculté des sciences de l'éducation | Université de Montréal, which they achieved in October 2021.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Samir also engaged in professional development by becoming an Instructeur in Arbitre at FIBA, although the specific dates of this certification were not provided.

Their educational journey is ongoing as they are currently a PhD student in Pedagogy Engenniring on Moccs at Mohammed V University in Rabat. This program began in 2021 and is projected to conclude in 2025.
