Gavin Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Starting from 1985, they worked as a Mechanical Development Technician for ECC International Ltd where they conducted research and testing of process plants. In 1986, they became a Supervising Engineer at APCV Lda in Portugal, overseeing the expansion of exploratory drilling programs and existing plants.

Returning to ECC International Ltd in 1989, Gavin worked as a Senior Engineering Materials Buyer and later as a Purchasing & Inventory Manager, where they managed teams and implemented inventory control measures. In 1994, they joined ECC International Ltd and Imerys Minerals Ltd, serving as an Engineering Materials Senior Technical Buyer and providing engineering consultancy for the buying team.

In 2001, Gavin became the Engineering Purchase Manager for Imerys Minerals Ltd, responsible for sourcing capital plant and equipment. Gavin later held the role of Mechanical Design Manager, leading the mechanical design element of process plants throughout Europe. Additionally, they served as a Senior Category Manager CAPEX Projects, sourcing equipment and writing technical RFQ documents.

Moving on to Imerys, Gavin took on the role of Mechanical Design & Project Services Manager, overseeing the design and build of process plants. Gavin later became the Mechanical Engineering Manager, responsible for root cause analysis, project management, and leading engineering best demonstrated practice initiatives on a global scale. Finally, in 2016, Gavin joined FiberLean Technologies Ltd as a Principal Engineer.

Throughout their career, Gavin has showcased their expertise in mechanical engineering, project management, and procurement. Gavin is a Chartered Engineer (C Eng), Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), and Member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI).

Gavin Jones has a diverse educational background in the field of engineering and management. Gavin attended Camborne School of Management, focusing on Plant Engineering and Management. Additionally, they pursued their studies at Cornwall College of Further & Higher Education Camborne, where they attained their ONC & HNC degrees in Plant Engineering.
