Ivo Costa

Ivo Costa has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Ivo is currently the Head of Facilities and MAIT at Fibersail since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager and System Engineer at Optimal Structural Solutions, specializing in engineering and manufacturing of complex composite and metallic structures/components for the space industry. Before that, they held the position of Mechanical Hardware Manager at FHP - Frezite High Performance, where they managed Multi Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and metallic base components division projects for satellite integration. Ivo also worked as a Stress Engineer at Assystem UK, supporting Rolls Royce in gas turbine analysis, and as a Stress Engineer at QuEST, providing structural analysis for the design team. Their earlier experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer at INEGI, participating in projects related to the development and production of composite materials, and as a Master's student specializing in Design and Mechanical Constructions at FEUP.

Ivo Costa pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. From 2003 to 2009, they studied at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2010 and 2011, they furthered their education by completing a Post Graduation in Renewable Energies at TÜV Rheinland Akademie. Later, Ivo Costa also obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade do Porto, although the specific start and end years for this degree were not provided.
