Pedro Pinto

Pedro Pinto is the founder of Fibersail, a company that develops a shape sensing system for real-time measuring of structural behavior using fiber optic sensors. The technology improves efficiency and safety in onshore and offshore critical structures. Fibersail's innovative system utilizes big data and business intelligence software to optimize the design of structures and provide real-time feedback for increased safety and efficiency.

Before founding Fibersail in 2014, Pedro Pinto worked as an Olympic Sailing Coach for the Portuguese Sailing Federation from 2006 to 2014. Pedro also worked as a Project Developer at Xerox in 2005 and as a Co-founder at Accedo Group from 2002 to 2005.

Pedro Pinto attended ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa from 1998 to 2003, where they studied Information Technology and Management. Pedro did not earn a degree during this time. Additionally, they also received training at the Federação Portuguesa de Vela as a Level 3 Coach in Sailing.
