Jeff Shaffer

Jeff Shaffer has been working in the tech industry since 2008. In that year, they began working with Cornell University Outdoor Education as a Developer, System Administrator, and IT Project Manager. Jeff also worked as an HCI Researcher, conducting research on low-powered slate devices and their interactions with digital pen/paper systems. In 2010, they became Vice President and Corporate Relations Chairperson for the Cornell University Information Science Student Association. In 2011, they took on the role of CTO at Cognection, commercializing decades of academic research in consumer psychology and behavioral economics to generate a new type of product recommendation system. In 2013, they founded Fiberspark Inc., with the mission of providing a better alternative than the cable monopoly for Internet service. In 2017, they began working as an Instructor for Web Development and Computer Science at Life Changing Labs, teaching Web Development (HTML/CSS/javascript) & Design (UX/UI), and Software Development (Python).

Jeff Shaffer graduated from Cornell University in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science.
