Lars Grieten

Lars Grieten has extensive experience in the digital health industry. Lars is the CEO and co-founder of FibriCheck, a medical software development company specializing in AI-based PPG analysis for detecting heart rhythm disorders using smartphones or smartwatches. Lars has also worked at imec as a Senior Researcher in Wearable Health Solutions from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, they served as a Visiting Professor at Hasselt University's Mobile Health Unit, where they focused on research projects, funding applications, and PhD initiatives in the digital health field for two years. Prior to that, Lars worked as a Project Coordinator for the Limburg Clinical Research Program at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg, facilitating clinical research in various domains. Lars also holds a PhD in the field of mobile health, which they completed at IMO-IMOMEC-Hasselt University between 2007 and 2011.

Lars Grieten completed their Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at UHasselt from 2003 to 2007.
