Dan Phelan specializes in multifamily and land investments in markets across Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. Mr. Phelan has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience including investment sales brokerage, debt placement, and asset management advisory for institutional clients with multifamily, hospitality, retail and office building portfolios. Mr. Phelan served 15 years on the Atlanta team of Newmark Knight Frank (fka Apartment Realty Advisors), elevating to Director of Multifamily Investment Sales and transacting on over $1.4B in sales in his last two years. His prior role within the firm was as senior investment analyst, responsible for all phases of underwriting, analysis, pricing strategies and valuation of multifamily and ground-up development opportunities. He previously held underwriting and finance positions with Love Funding of Atlanta, and with Ocwen Financial of West Palm Beach.
In addition to multifamily brokerage, Mr. Phelan has transacted on over $700 million in financing for the acquisition, construction and development of multifamily properties, as well as permanent, mezzanine and equity arrangements. While at Ocwen Financial, he was responsible for real estate portfolio analytics, loan resolution and workout strategies, along with various projects including consulting to the Ministry of Finance of Jamaica for the disposition of over $1 billion of asset-backed securities. Mr. Phelan is a graduate of Stetson University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in business administration.
