The Foundation for Research, Development and Application of Composite Materials is a center of excellence in R+D+i whose objective is to keep Spain at the technological forefront in the use of composites and the aerospace industry as a strategic sector for this country. Created on March 15, 2006 by the agreement reached between the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Community of Madrid and the company EADS NV, this foundation is located in the Parque Tecnológico del Sur (Getafe) and occupies some 20,000 square meters.
