May Mark has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In their current role as the Director of Philanthropic Strategies at Fidelity Charitable, they have been employed since June 2021. May's earlier experience includes working as an Assistant to the Chief Talent Officer at Achievement First from August 2008 to May 2009 and as a Research Assistant in the Education Department at Brown University from June 2006 to May 2008.

May Mark attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2016 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. Prior to that, they completed their B.A. degree in Education Studies at Brown University. May also participated in the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University from an unknown start year until 2007. Additionally, they completed an Urban Education Semester at Bank Street College of Education in 2006. May Mark completed their high school education at Saint Ann's School.
