Michael Hutchings

Michael Hutchings is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as a First Officer at United Airlines since October 2021 and as a Simulator Instructor at Fidelity Technologies Corporation since March 2021. Previously, Michael held the position of First Officer at Flexjet from May 2021 to October 2021 and served for twenty-three years in the United States Marine Corps, concluding as a Marine Officer in June 2021. Notable roles within the Marine Corps include Commanding Officer of VMM-161 from May 2018 to July 2020, and Director of Safety and Standardization for Marine Helicopter Squadron One "Marine One" (HMX-1) from June 2014 to July 2017. Michael also served as Executive Officer at VMMT-204 from January 2013 to June 2014. Michael Hutchings holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California, Davis, earned from 1995 to 2000, and completed high school at Jesuit High Sacramento between 1992 and 1995.
