Neil Edwards has a wealth of experience in the technology industry, spanning over several decades. Neil started their career in 1982 with the Graduate Training Programme at GEC Plessey Telecommunications. Later on, they joined Software One Ltd in 1986 as the Business Development Director, where they led the development of integration and code generation tools.
In 1995, Neil became the Technical Director at Logicall Ltd and Atlantic Telecom, where they successfully established the UK's largest telecoms aggregator and negotiated the sale of the business. Following this, they worked as a Technology Consultant at Alkimi, providing services to clients including IBM UK, IBM IE, Virgin Media, Nyrex, and Sky/Cloud.
In 2004, Neil founded Synaptix and assumed the role of Chief Technical Officer, overseeing the company's operations. Neil then founded Carfiguano (CFG) in 2018, where they served as the CTO and founder, responsible for developing water leak detection technology.
Most recently, Neil co-founded FIDO Tech Ltd in 2019. As the CTO and Co-Founder, they play a vital role in the company's strategic direction and technological advancements. Throughout their career, Neil has demonstrated their expertise in innovation, software development, and business leadership.
Neil Edwards attended the University of Birmingham from 1979 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. During their studies, they focused on the field of pattern detection in highly randomised large data sets.
