Global Director, Demand Generation at Field Effect

John Blackmore has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John is currently serving as the Global Director of Demand Generation at Field Effect since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Marketing Consultant on a contract basis in 2022. From 2021 to 2023, John held the position of Senior Director of Digital Marketing at Qlik. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Content Marketing at GFI Software from 2019 to 2021. John also has a significant tenure at IBM, where they held various roles such as Program Director of Digital Business, Program Director of Brand & Demand Gen, and Digital Marketing Practice Lead. John began their career as the Director of Web & Content Marketing at Cognos in 2001 and has also gained experience working with the Government of Canada, CrossKeys, Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), and Ottawa Catholic School Board in various communication-related roles.

John Blackmore completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Dalhousie University from 1984-1987. John then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from Dalhousie University from 1987-1988. In 1988-1989, they attended the University of King's College to study Journalism. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Enhancing Team Wellbeing" from Duke University in 2022.
