Bethany Johnson

Bethany Johnson is a Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion Coordinator at The Field Museum, where responsibilities include supporting the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer with logistics, managing Heritage Month programming, overseeing the office budget, compiling DEAI metrics, conducting research, and facilitating stakeholder communication. Additionally, Bethany writes and curates content for the blog "Racially Ambiguous," focusing on the diverse histories of marginalized cultures. Previous experience includes serving as a DEI consultant for Ebony Law, an Assistant Manager at Lacrosse Management LLC, and various roles at Spurlock Museum and Krannert Art Museum, with a strong emphasis on research, project management, and community engagement. Bethany graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020, following a high school education at Lindblom Math & Science Academy.
