Dr. Jane Pottas BSc PGCE PhD MRSB is an experienced marine consultant and educator with a focus on intertidal ecosystems and seaweed identification. As the owner of JDP Marine Consultancy since January 2015, Dr. Pottas provides intertidal surveys and environmental impact assessments, alongside leading educational courses and guided walks. Current roles as an Associate Tutor with the Field Studies Council and Coventry University Scarborough Campus highlight Dr. Pottas's commitment to marine education. Previous experience includes consulting for Marine Ecological Surveys Limited and contributing to significant projects with the Natural History Museum and other research institutions. Dr. Pottas holds a PhD in Morphological, Ecological, and Genetic Variation in Fucus spiralis from the University of Hull, along with a PGCE and BSc in Applied Biology.
