Jamie Rushad Gros has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2000, Jamie worked as a Graphic Designer at Furrs Supermarkets Inc, creating signage and advertising materials. In 2001, they joined Rio Grande, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, first as a Graphic Designer and Front End Developer, and later as a Full-stack Developer and Programmer specializing in PHP and ASP.NET/C#. During their time at Rio Grande, Jamie also worked closely with marketing teams on designing print and web campaigns.
In 2012, Jamie transitioned to BadDog Design as a PHP Engineer and Consultant, collaborating with designers and the Creative Director on web applications. They then founded their own ventures, including Pour Vida Coffee Roasters in 2014 and 99 Solutions, where Jamie served as Owner/Co-founder and Marketing Technologist.
Jamie later joined the University of New Mexico as an Adjunct professor of Digital Marketing from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they gained teaching experience in the field.
In 2019, Jamie joined Esparza, Digital + Advertising, initially as the Director of Digital Strategy, then as Vice President of Experience + Digital, and finally as the President of Innovation & Growth until 2022. Throughout their roles at Esparza, Jamie focused on driving innovation and growth, overseeing digital experiences, and implementing digital strategies.
Most recently, Jamie founded Field Theory Lab in 2022, assuming the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Founder, and Technologist. Their company specializes in enhancing data and digital experiences, delivering unique and seamless customer interactions through design-based thinking and technology-driven services.
Jamie Rushad Gros earned a Bachelor of Fine/Studio Arts, General degree from The University of New Mexico between 1999 and 2003. In addition to their formal education, Jamie has obtained several certifications, including the Google Ads Certification in January 2020, the Google Analytics Certification in December 2019, and the Zend PHP Certification in January 2010.
