Founder & CEO at FieldLine

Orang Alem is the Founder and CEO of FieldLine, a company that specializes in developing ultra-sensitive magnetic sensors. Prior to their current position, Orang worked as a physicist for QuSpin Inc., where they contributed to the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of optical and atomic systems. Orang also worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where they researched and developed the NIST fiber coupled chip-scale atomic magnetometers. Additionally, Orang was a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University, where they developed an ultra-sensitive tunable atomic magnetometer for the measurement of very weak RF magnetic fields. Orang is also the Team Lead/System Administrator for Verio.

Orang Alem has completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from George Mason University, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied and Engineering Physics from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in both Physics and Mathematics from George Mason University.
