Isao Asahina

Isao Asahina has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Isao started their career as a System Administrator at NTT America in 1998, where they worked until 2000. In 2000, they joined Electronics for Imaging as a Sr Software Engineer, where they developed printer drivers for Macintosh OS9 and OSX, as well as for the Windows platform. Isao also served as a Lead Engineer and released several products to OEM customers.

In 2005, Isao joined Openwave as a Sr Software Engineer in Japan, where they gained experience working with Japanese partners and successfully released a webmail application to a Japanese telecom customer. Isao then moved to EFI in 2007, initially taking on the role of Program Manager, where they managed and led a crucial company project. Afterwards, they transitioned back to software development and held various positions including Sr. Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, and Staff Software Engineer. In these roles, they worked on developing code in C++ for printer controllers and played a key role in implementing protocols and scan modules.

Most recently, Isao joined Fiery in 2023 as a Staff Software Engineer.

Isao Asahina earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Color Management Master Professional from Idealliance in October 2022.
