Joop Israel

Joop Israel has extensive experience in management and organizational roles within the non-profit sector. Currently serving as a Secretaris at Fietsersbond since May 2015 and as a bestuurslid at Stichting Levend Verleden Oost Nederland since April 2013, Joop also holds a position on the bestuur of Almeloos Shantykoor de Oostvaarders since February 2004. Previously, Joop was the voorzitter of Almelo Sociaal from 2004 to 2010, and worked at Gemeente Almelo from 1974 to October 2001 in various capacities including maatschappelijk werker, teamleider, and produktgroep manager. Joop's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in management of non-profit organizations from NHA Distance Learning, along with degrees in social work from the University of Groningen and Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
