Vincent Gouttebarge

Prof. dr. Vincent Gouttebarge is a former professional footballer who played 14 seasons across France and The Netherlands, accumulating 232 games and facing two ACL reconstructive surgeries and two concussions. Currently, they serve as an Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria and Chief Medical Officer at FIFPRO, focusing on the health and well-being of professional athletes. Prof. dr. Gouttebarge has been active in several key roles, including Chair of the IOC Mental Health Working Group and member of various medical committees within FIFA, UEFA, and CAF. They also have a rich academic background, having worked as a researcher and lecturer at the AMC and held honorary roles at the University of Cape Town.
