Rajesh Rajpal has an extensive work experience in the field of ophthalmology. Rajesh is currently the Chief Medical Officer and Global Head of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Johnson & Johnson Vision since April 2020. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Medical Director of See Clearly Vision Group since September 1995. Rajesh also held the position of Clinical Faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology at Georgetown University from September 1995. Rajesh has also served as the Chief Medical Officer for Glaukos Corporation and played a key role in its acquisition by Avedro. Rajesh has held various leadership positions and directorships at renowned institutions such as Georgetown University School of Medicine and The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. With their expertise in corneal health and refractive laser surgery, Rajesh has been a significant contributor to the field of ophthalmology throughout their career.

Rajesh Rajpal's education history begins in 1983 when they enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine to pursue a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Rajesh completed their MD program in 1987. Following this, in 1988 and until 1991, Rajesh attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine again for an Ophthalmology Residency program. Then, in 1991, they undertook a Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Wills Eye Hospital. Prior to these experiences, from 1987 to 1988, Rajesh completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
