Lana Safonova

Lana Safonova, CPA, CGA has extensive work experience in accounting and financial roles. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting at Figment, a role they have been in since August 2023. Prior to this, Lana worked as a Financial Controller at Figment from July 2021 to August 2023.

Before joining Figment, Lana worked as a Controller, Consultant, and Fractional CFO at Corex Management Inc. from January 2019 to June 2021. From August 2017 to December 2018, Lana served as an Assistant Controller at the same company.

Earlier in their career, Lana held positions at Zoic Studios as a Senior Accountant from July 2016 to August 2017 and as an Accountant from January 2014 to June 2016. Lana also worked at Digital Payment Technologies (now T2 Systems Canada) as an Accountant from June 2011 to December 2013 and as an RMA/Project Administrator from August 2008 to June 2011.

Lana's early professional experience includes roles at Deloitte and Touch CIS as a Consultant from June 2007 to July 2008 and as a Business Editor/Translator from July 2006 to July 2007. Lana also worked as an Administrative Assistant at KPMG from August 2005 to June 2006.

Lana Safonova, CPA, CGA has a strong educational background in accounting and finance. Lana attended the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia from 2014 to 2017, where they focused on Accounting and Finance. Prior to this, Lana completed a Diploma in Accounting at UBC Sauder School of Business from 2011 to 2013. Lana also holds a Certificate in Entertainment Business Administration from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained in 2009. Lana'seducational journey began at Kursk State University (KSU) from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Education.
