Michael Gao

Michael Gao possesses extensive experience in sourcing and quality control within the textile industry, currently serving as Operations Manager at FIGS since December 2018, overseeing fabric and supplier management in China and abroad. Previously, Michael held the position of Fabric Manager at FIGS, focusing on quality control for fabric and garment mills in China. Prior roles include Sourcing Partner at Royal Heritage Home and J.R. United Industries Inc., where assistance was provided in sourcing quality textile products, as well as a Sourcing Partner for The Beach People, specializing in high-quality beach-related products. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Merchandiser at Shandong Yinfung Hometextiles Co. Ltd., supporting Kohl's with a range of home textiles. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Changchun Institute of Technology, earned in 2010.
