Alonso Valle

Alonso Valle is a Senior Robotics/AI Engineer at Figure since January 2024, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from September 2021 to October 2023, where research focused on model-based reinforcement learning in quadrupeds. Alonso completed a Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems from January 2016 to July 2020, and held a Ph.D. Internship at Meta in late 2019, working on model-based predictive control algorithms for quadrupeds. Additionally, as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge in early 2019, Alonso led a project on Bayesian optimization for neural networks and robot controllers. Alonso earned a Máster en Ciencias in Automatic Control and Robotics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between January 2013 and January 2015.
