Jacob Webb has a diverse range of work experience in mechanical engineering and robotics. Jacob is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Figure. Prior to this, they owned and worked as a contractor at Four Bar Concepts. Jacob also held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer & Roboticist at Acorn Product Development, Inc. from 2021 to 2022.
Before that, Jacob served as the Head of Mechanical Engineering at aescape from 2020 to 2021. Jacob was a Research Scientist at Menrva Research Group from 2011 to 2012, contributing to the development of a low-cost arm exoskeleton for stroke patient rehabilitation. Jacob started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Dennerik Engineering Ltd. in 2010 and worked as a Mechanical Special Effects Apprentice at MFX Productions from 2009 to 2010, where they gained experience in motion picture mechanical special effects.
Jacob Webb completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University from 2005 to 2010. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, which they completed from 2012 to 2014.
