Bill Thayer

Bill Thayer is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Fillogic. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the retail industry, including 10 years in logistics and operations. Bill has a proven track record in leading and transforming logistics operations for large retailers.

Most recently, Bill was the Chief Logistics Officer at Century 21 Stores from July 2017 to December 2020. In this role, they reported to the Co-CEO and was a member of the Executive Committee. Bill led the C21 Logistics team, overseeing transportation, DC operations, ecommerce fulfillment, and technology innovation/implementation.

During their time at Century 21 Stores, Bill accomplished several key objectives, including implementing an updated logistics process flow model to transform logistics processes; supporting the successful implementation of three major technology systems over a 6-month period; and leading the scoping, search & selection, and implementation of the Deposco cloud-based WMS platform. All stores, 3 DCs and over 3 million stored units were successfully converted in 7 months.

In addition, Bill was able to convert processing standards to match receipt flow guidelines, which improved inventory turns and reduced the amount of inventory carried in the DCs. Bill also outsourced all inbound transportation to a tech-enabled 3PL and negotiated and implemented contracts for parcel freight that reduced cost, improved efficiencies, and enhanced the customer experience.
