John Sloss is an accomplished entrepreneur and legal professional with extensive experience in the film and entertainment industry. Currently serving as Entrepreneur In Residence at Harvard Business School since September 2018, Sloss is also the Founder and CEO of Cinetic Media, a position held since September 1999. Other notable roles include membership on the Finance Committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since June 2021, Board Member at Film at Lincoln Center since September 2021, and active participation in the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and BAFTA. Sloss co-founded Sloss Eckhouse LawCo in 1993, building a robust legal foundation in the industry. Prior to these roles, Sloss was a Partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP from 1990 to 1993. Educationally, Sloss holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Michigan.
