Film Companion
Spenta Wadia is a graphic designer and illustrator currently working freelance since August 2024, with recent experience as the Creative Head for Design at Film Companion from May 2023 to September 2024. Prior to this role, Spenta served in various capacities, including Associate Creative Head, Art Director, and Senior Graphic Designer at The Glitch from March 2016 to May 2023, contributing to projects for clients such as Netflix India, Lakme, Kurkure, Bed Head by TIGI, and TRESemme. Educational background includes a Diploma in Animation and Visual Effects from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, where Spenta attended from 2011 to 2015, and earlier education at La Martiniere For Girls in Kolkata, completing ICSE and ISC in Humanities. An internship at Studio Eeksaurus in May 2014 provided additional industry experience.

Film Companion is a platform for entertainment journalism. Our main focus is film – Bollywood, Hollywood, world cinema, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi. We do reviews, interviews, features and recommendations around cinema. We also cover television, short films, web series, OTT-platform content, stand-up comedy, cinema-related books and occasionally, non-film music.
