Olivia Valdez

Olivia Valdez is a talented writer, director, and lead animator with significant experience in stop-motion animation. Currently serving as a Fellow at Film Independent, Olivia is involved in a partnership with LAIKA Studios for the development and production of a two-year stop-motion short film. Previously, Olivia has worked on projects such as "The Test," a stop-motion short film authored and animated from a self-built studio. With a diverse background that includes roles in animation and production at Yatsi Cortometraje and a Master's degree in Stop Motion Animation from BAU, Olivia has also contributed to marketing and video production for Fastaff Travel Nursing and worked in domestic sales at Cinetic Media. Early career experiences included business development at HUSH and archives work at Little Bear Inc., culminating in a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.
