Stefan Malmén has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Stefan began their career in leading positions in various stores and supermarkets, including Coop, ICA, and Vivo. In 1981, they started working in the retail industry and continued to hold different roles until 1995. Stefan then joined ICA as a Hypermarket Manager for ICA Flygfyren, where they were responsible for the operation and maintenance of the supermarket. In 1999, they became a Negotiation Manager for ICA Kvantum. Following this, Stefan Malmén worked as a Category Manager at Statoil (Circle K) from 2000 to 2001. Stefan then joined ICA again, where they held various positions such as Marketing Manager and Business Manager for ICA Kvantum. In 2009, they moved to Coop Butiker & Stormarknader AB, where they served as Chain Manager for Coop Forum Stormarknader and later became the CEO and Chairman of Vinsta Detaljhandel AB. In 2012, Stefan Malmén joined Filmstaden as a Sales Director, responsible for developing Food & Beverages and the concept for Filmstaden in Sweden. Additionally, they worked as the Head of Food & Beverage Northern Europe for Odeon Cinema Group, overseeing the concept and Food & Beverages in the Baltics, Finland, Sweden, and Norway. Throughout their career, Stefan Malmén has achieved significant accomplishments, including doubling the turnover of Food & Beverages at Filmstaden and managing a negotiation volume of SEK 13 billion as Manager GNFR / Dry Goods at Coop Butiker & Stormarknader AB.
Stefan Malmén obtained a Certified Board Member certification from the Swedish Board Academy (Svenska Styrelseakademin) in 2012. Stefan also attended IHM Business School from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a DIHM degree.
