Richard Sun

Richard Sun is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the gaming and virtual reality industries. Currently serving as Senior Tech Director at Netflix Game Studio since November 2021, Richard is a founding member of the organization, collaborating with a premier leadership team to deliver exceptional gaming experiences for Netflix members. Prior to this, Richard held various engineering management positions at Facebook from June 2017 to December 2021, where responsibilities included bootstrapping teams for the Horizon initiative and managing multiple VR product teams. Richard co-founded Rogue Rocket Games in January 2011 and has held senior roles at Kabam and Planet Moon Studios, demonstrating a strong track record in technical leadership, project management, and game development, with a background that includes programming at renowned companies like LucasArts and Microsoft. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
