Shahid Ali has a wealth of experience in the legal compliance and risk field. Shahid most recently served as the Group Head of Legal Compliance & Risk at Filtrona, overseeing global legal, compliance, risk, and governance activities for the group. Prior to Filtrona, Shahid held the position of Global Head of Legal Compliance & Risk - Filters & Tapes Division at Essentra Plc, a leading global manufacturer. Shahid also worked as Senior Legal Counsel and Head of Contracts at Bureau Veritas Group and held various roles at Doncasters Group, including Group Deputy General Counsel and Group Senior Legal Counsel. Additionally, Shahid served as the Group Legal & Compliance Advisor at BRUSH Group. Their experience spans multiple sectors, including aerospace, energy, chemical, automotive, defence, power distribution, and oil & gas.

Shahid Ali has a strong educational background in the field of law. Shahid pursued a Bachelor's degree LL.B (Hons) and a Master's degree LL.M from The University of Wolverhampton. After that, Shahid enrolled at The University of Law where they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC). Additionally, they attended Churchill College, Cambridge University to expand their knowledge in Understanding Intellectual Property at an intermediate level.
