Maura Moynihan

Company Secretary at Filtronic

Maura Moynihan is the current Company Secretary at Filtronic. Prior to this, they were with UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS INNOVATIONS LIMITED from January 1995 to December 2002, where they served as Legal Advisor. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the exploitation of new technology from the creation of spin out companies, subsequent incubation, and realisation (via trade sate, venture capital investment or IPO) devising and implementing strategies for the business development, joint venturing and licensing of IPR.

From January 1993 to December 1994, Moynihan was a Legal Assistant with Walker Morris LLP, advising on contentious and non-contentious IP and competition law work for international clients.

In January 2002, Moynihan took on the role of General Counsel at Filtronic PLC Group and served in this capacity until December 2004. During this time, they were also the Legal Advisor and Company Secretary at White Rose Technology Seed Corn Fund (managed by Aberdeen Asset Management) from January 1999 to December 2000.

Maura Moynihan began their career as a Sponsored Law Student with LOVELL WHITE DURRANT from January 1989 to December 1993.

Maura Moynihan's educational career began with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from University College Cork. Maura then went on to study Law at the College of Law. After receiving an EMBO Scholarship, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Botany/Plant Biology at the University College Dublin. Maura is currently a Research Assistant in the same field at the University College Dublin.

They work with and Michael Tyerman - Finance Director. Maura Moynihan reports to Reg Gott, Executive Chairman.
