David Bakker

David Bakker is a Senior Advisor in Identity Management and Security at FIME, where they focus on mobile driving licenses and the European Digital Identity Wallet. With extensive expertise in identity management systems, cryptography, and related standards, David has been the main author of the Architecture and Reference Framework for the European Identity Wallet. They have contributed significantly to various projects, including electronic passports, e-ticketing systems, and the European Smart Tachograph. Previously, David completed a PhD in Nanophysics at Delft University of Technology and holds a Master’s degree in Physics from Leiden University.
