Caleb Metheny has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Caleb started their career at Microsoft in 2010 as a Game Software Test Associate, where they focused on multiplayer testing for games like Crackdown 2 and Age of Empires Online. Caleb then moved on to Sucker Punch Productions in 2011, where they worked as a QA Tester on projects such as inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood and inFAMOUS 2 updates. Caleb joined Monolith Productions later that year, where they served as a QA member for games like Gotham City Imposters and Guardians Of Middle Earth, specializing in multiplayer and DLC testing.
In 2012, Caleb returned to 343 Industries, assuming the role of a Test Associate 3. Caleb contributed to the campaign test team for Halo 4, focusing on cinematics, performance, title updates, and multiplayer DLC content. Caleb also assisted in testing multiplayer and DLC content. Caleb then joined Sucker Punch Productions again in 2013 as a QA and Video Production Assistant, conducting testing on InFAMOUS: Second Son and InFAMOUS: First Light while also capturing and editing in-game videos for various purposes.
In 2014, Caleb once again joined 343 Industries as a Playtest Coordinator, responsible for the upkeep of playtest labs, troubleshooting issues, and providing support for the entire studio. Caleb also managed the hardware and software aspects of internal playtests. Caleb continued in this role until 2015.
From 2016 to 2018, Caleb worked at Wargaming Seattle as a QA Tester and later was promoted to Associate Producer. In their role as Associate Producer, they managed and coordinated internal playtesting sessions for an unannounced MMO project. Caleb also spearheaded the creation of a new playtest request pipeline and improved the playtest culture at the studio.
Caleb then joined 343 Industries once again in 2018, this time as a Playtest Coordinator, responsible for organizing and facilitating internal playtests and tournament experiences for Halo Infinite and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Caleb also maintained equipment for multiple labs and prepared hardware and builds for team reviews. Caleb stayed with the company until 2020.
Afterwards, Caleb joined Crystal Dynamics in 2020 as a Dev QA, where they were involved in all aspects of quality for Marvel's Avengers and later transitioned to working on Perfect Dark with The Initiative. Caleb wrote and created QA onboarding documentation during their tenure and was involved in shipping the game and all five story expansions. Currently, they are working as a Hardware Manager at Final Strike Games, starting in 2022.
Caleb Metheny attended Woodinville High School from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained their diploma. Following that, they enrolled in Bellevue College from 2009 to 2012, although no specific degree or field of study is provided.
