Project Lead at Final Strike Games

Gregg Metzler has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Gregg currently works at Final Strike Games as the Project Lead, overseeing a team working on Fortnite. Gregg is responsible for team management, staff mentorship, hiring, and setting goals. Gregg also designs live service content and features and drives UI/UX and systems improvements.

Prior to their current role, Gregg was the Lead Designer at Final Strike Games, where they managed the design team and contributed to the release of Rocket Arena. Gregg facilitated playtests, UR studies, and data-driven features during the live service phase.

Before joining Final Strike Games, Gregg worked as the UI/UX Design Lead and UI/UX Designer at WG Cells and FSG respectively. Gregg built and managed the UI/UX team at WG Cells, focusing on the user experience for Rocket Arena. At FSG, they developed UI/UX directly in UE4 and worked closely with engineers to create UI/UX tools and pipelines.

Gregg also gained valuable experience at PopCap Games and Novel Inc, where they served as a 2D Generalist and 2D/3D Artist and Animator respectively. At both companies, they worked on various aspects of game visuals, including UI/UX, characters, backgrounds, animation, and marketing assets.

Before entering the gaming industry, Gregg was a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology, where they also worked as a 3D Animation Instructor and Summer Workshop Instructor.

Gregg Metzler attended Todd Beamer High School from 2003 to 2006, but did not earn a degree or specialize in any particular field of study during that time. Following their high school education, they went on to enroll at DigiPen Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010. At DigiPen, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree and studied a wide range of subjects including 2D/3D Animation, 3D Modeling, 2D Painting, Design, UI/UX, and Concept Art.
