Jeffrey Daniel Lau has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and organizations. Jeffrey Daniel has worked as a Senior Partner at OGAWA LAU NAKAMURA & JEW AAL ALC since 1984, specializing in commercial litigation, real property, collections, foreclosure and bankruptcy law, estate planning, trust administration, corporate governance, and international business transactions. Jeffrey Daniel has also held leadership positions in various organizations, including serving as President of the Lehigh University Alumni Club of Hawaii, Board Director at the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association, Member and Emeritus Dean at the Consular Corps of Hawaii, Director and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Finance Enterprises Ltd., Honorary Consul at the Consulate of Belgium, and Past President, Senior Director, and VP-Treasurer at Ogawa Lau Nakamura & Jew Attorneys at Law~A Law Corporation. Additionally, Lau has served as Past President, Director, Legal Counsel, and Co-Chair of the International Relations Committee at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, Director of the Shidler College of Business Alumni Association, and Director and member of the Audit Committee at Finance Factors, Ltd. Throughout their career, they have received various awards and recognition for their contributions.
Jeffrey Daniel Lau has a diverse education history. Jeffrey Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Economics from Lehigh University College of Business in the years 1966 to 1970. Prior to that, they received a High School Diploma from Punahou School in 1966. Lau then pursued further education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, with an unspecified start year and an end year of 1973. Following this, they attended the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) from 1974 to 1977 and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree, specializing in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. In 1986, Lau briefly studied US Banking Law at Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business. Their most recent educational pursuit involved obtaining an Executive Certificate in the Advanced Leadership Program for Asian American Executives from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which was completed in 2018.
