John A.

John A. currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Finance Mandarin since January 2018. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director at Finance English, starting in November 2018. In this role, they have 15 years of experience in Executive Coaching & Communication. Their responsibilities included developing a Learning Management System for Finance English with AI Teachers, conducting English interviews & assessment matrix for Bank, Insurance, and Asset Management.

John A. has a diverse education history with a focus on mathematics, data science, and artificial intelligence. In 1982, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from RMIT University. John furthered their education in 1998-1999 by pursuing Computational and Applied Mathematics at the University of Adelaide, although they did not earn a degree. In 2002, they received a Graduate Certificate in Science with a specialization in Mathematics from The University of Queensland. John also completed a program in Pure & Applied Mathematics from the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute at the University of Melbourne in the same year.

In recent years, John A. has shown an interest in data science and artificial intelligence through two professional development programs. John completed a Professional Development program in Data Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017. In the same year, they also completed a Professional Development program in Artificial Intelligence at Columbia University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in machine learning and deep learning, including the Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning. These certifications were obtained from deeplearning.ai between September and December 2018.

Aside from their formal education, John A. also holds additional certifications. In February 2017, they obtained an Artificial Intelligence (AI) certification from Columbia University in the City of New York. In March 2021, they acquired the FMI1 Finance Mandarin Certificate (level 1) from Finance Mandarin.
