Annet Nakawunde Mulindwa has a strong background in the banking and finance industry. Annet Nakawunde began their career at Pride Microfinance Limited in 1999 as a Credit Officer and later became a Branch Manager. In 2007, they joined Uganda Finance Trust Ltd. (MDI) where they served as the Operations and Compliance Manager before being promoted to Head of Operations in 2009. During their time at Uganda Finance Trust Ltd., Annet played a key role in achieving performance standards, increasing deposits by 150%, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio. In 2011, they transitioned to Finance Trust Bank Uganda as the Managing Director, overseeing its transformation to a fully-fledged Commercial Bank. Annet also focused on expanding financial services for women and mobilizing new investors.

Annet Nakawunde Mulindwa completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at Makerere University from 1995 to 1998. Their major field of study during this undergraduate program is not specified. Annet Nakawunde later pursued further education at Uganda Management Institute from 2002 to 2003, where they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management. Lastly, Annet attended Makerere University once again from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance.

Finance Trust Bank(FTB), a Tier 1 Financial Institution was granted an operating license on 11th November 2013 taking over the business of Uganda Finance Trust Limted (MDI). Finance Trust Bank was first registered as an NGO in 1984 as “Uganda Womens Finance and Credit Trust Limited” which later changed its name to “Uganda Women’s Finance Trust Limited” in 1997. On 12th October 2005, Uganda Women’s Finance Trust Limited Limited was licensd as a Microfinance Deposit taking Institution.
